Alliance SBC: Class 4 switching for carrier voice.

Alliance SBC is our session border controller and Class 4 softswitch for carrier and wholesale voice. It connects networks, routes traffic across destinations and protects the network edge.

  • Real-time rating
  • Least-cost routing
  • Fraud detection
  • Multi-node

Routing, rating and control in one switch.

Alliance SBC does more than pass calls between networks. It prices every call as it happens, picks the route, watches for fraud and gives your customers their own view of their traffic.

Real-time rating and billing

Calls are rated live and billed per second. When a customer's balance or credit limit runs out, new calls are stopped, so traffic never runs ahead of payment.

Multi-currency

Set rates and bill customers in the currency they trade in.

  • NGN
  • USD
  • EUR
  • GBP

Least-cost routing with failover

Each call goes to the best-priced route available. If that route fails, the call moves to the next one automatically.

White-label customer portal

Your carrier and reseller customers log in under your brand to see their call records, balance and rates.

Many SBCs, one login

Run Alliance SBC in several locations, each with its own configuration, and manage every node from a single screen with one shared login.

Everything a carrier voice network needs at the edge.

01

SIP interconnects

Connect carriers, operators and customers with standards-based SIP trunks.

02

Intelligent routing

Route traffic by destination, cost, quality and priority, with failover between vendors.

03

Rating and CDRs

Detailed call records and rating for billing, reconciliation and reporting.

04

Real-time monitoring

Watch active calls, answer rates and call duration to spot quality issues quickly.

05

Edge security

IP authentication, whitelisting and protection against fraud and attacks.

06

Number manipulation

Flexible dial-plan and number translation rules per interconnect.

Every switch you run, from one screen.

Carriers rarely run a single switch. With Alliance SBC you can place nodes in different locations, give each one its own routing, rates and security settings, and still manage all of them from one console with a single shared login.

  • Separate configuration for every node
  • One login for your whole team
  • Switch between locations without signing in again

Know why calls fail, and whose side it's on.

Alliance SBC shows you what is happening on your traffic, so you can fix problems before your customers notice them.

Failure analysis

See why calls fail by SIP response, and whether the problem is in your network or with the carrier.

Quality metrics

Track ASR, ACD and voice quality (MOS) for each carrier and route.

Fraud detection

Suspicious patterns, such as sudden traffic spikes or calls to unusual destinations, are flagged or blocked.

Reports on request

Ask for the reports your business needs, such as call summaries or an analysis of active numbers.

Can't find what you need? Ask our team.

What is a Class 4 switch?

A Class 4 switch routes voice traffic between networks and carriers, rather than serving end users directly. It handles interconnection, routing and call records for wholesale traffic.

What does the session border controller do?

It sits at the edge of the network, controlling and securing the SIP sessions that enter and leave it.

Is Alliance SBC built by Telco Alliance?

Yes. Alliance SBC is our own platform, and it carries our wholesale voice traffic.

How can we use it?

Talk to us about wholesale interconnection on Alliance SBC or about deploying the platform for your own network.

How is traffic billed?

Calls are rated in real time and billed per second. If a customer's balance or credit limit runs out, new calls are stopped.

Which currencies are supported?

You can set rates and bill in Nigerian naira (NGN), US dollars (USD), euros (EUR) and pounds sterling (GBP).

Can we manage several SBCs together?

Yes. Each node keeps its own configuration, and you manage them all from one console with a shared login.
